Greetings all,
As some of you know our webmaster is working on an updated site to
include a forum update as well as a transition from phpnuke to joomla
for news and other articles. As part of that update the board is
entertaining a logo update. Some of us thought it would be fun to open
this as a contest to the players and see what angles you come up with.
Rules and Conditions
*Artists may submit any number of logos
*Submissions will be done is this thread using IMG tags or mailed to kileyhaz@gmail.com
*Serious submissions only, anything that does not fit will be removed from the posts
*Logo submissions must be at least 100px by 100px (larger is preferred)
*Logos must have white or transparent backgrounds
*Artists surrender all rights to their logo submission, whether its chosen or not, upon submitting them
*Submissions may start immediately and this contest closes Thursday June 19th at midnight.
*While anyone is able to submit a logo voting will take place by members only and voting will be open from Thursday June 19th at midnight untill Thursday June 26th at midnight.
*Winner will be announced on Friday the 27th of June
*Winner will receive 1 year free TAC membership and an Echo 1 ballcap

Join us for a special Battlefield SASCO game near the SASCO 'Alamo' on
Saturday June 7th from 0530 to 1200 to benefit a local burn victim.
Admission is by donation (suggested donation of $5 to $10) and 100% of
proceeds go directly to this young girl who suffered severe burns over
the majority of her body from an accident several years ago with
pajamas that were unsafe. The proceeds will be used to help pay her
admission into the TROT program (therapeutic riding of tucson). For

| 08/09 TAC Board nominations |
|
Greetings All,
The month of March is fast approaching a close and as April comes up it is time to start thinking about nominations for the TAC board of directors. The current membership will be welcomed to submit their nominations in the members only section of the board sometime in April and final voting for the new 08/09 board will take place at the June TAC meeting.
Nominees must be TAC members and be 18 years of age or older (though those members under 18 may nominate others and vote).
Nominations must be posted, then seconded by another member and finally the nominee must accept the nomination at which point they are placed in the running.
If your not a TAC member and would like to vote in this matter or be nominated for a board position please get your membership updated with the appropriate paperwork and/or dues, see Beanns2 or Bubba to take care of that matter. Following is the post for the upcoming meeting. The venue will be Reid Park.
When: First Saturday of March ( 03/01/08 ) @0800.
Where: Reid Park, see below.
What: Discuss old org business, close out committee tasks, discuss new org business, and open floor.
Members: Please feel free to attend and let your voice be heard. This meeting is primarily for the board to go over old and new business however, member participation is welcome and highly encouraged!
Non Members: Your welcome to attend and observe but will not have the ability to vote without submitting your membership papers and dues.
Meeting place: South West corner of reid park near country club and 22nd. Head north from the 22nd/country club intersection and its your first right.

| Forum Cleanup and Moderation |

Greetings TAC members and forumites!
The notes from the 1.5.08 TAC meeting will be posted shortly. One of the items that was put on the table, discussed, and voted on was the recent influx of off topic posts and thread hijacking. In an effort to cleanup this material the members and board at the meeting voted unanimously to elect to new moderators to add to the current staff. Please welcome AMSOG_Tonk and CipherBlue to the moderating staff that currently includes: Bullseye, Warlock, Reaver, Pryde, and Kileyhaz.
All moderators are now instructed to remove posts that derail a thread or otherwise move it into an off topic state. Off topic comments, videos and photos may still be placed in the just for fun category under photos. Please ask yourself before posting anywhere else: “Is my post relevant to the topic at hand?”
Also, please refrain from using leet “1337” speak on the forum or other short hand, we are not your txt message buddies, we don’t want to have to break out google to figure out what your saying. Messages posted in an unrecognizable manner will be removed.
Finally, when creating a new thread please be as descriptive as possible in the subject so users can get an idea of what the topic is about before opening a new thread. No more “Helppppp!” or “OMGWTFBBQ” titles for threads.
